Form Carpenter

About this role

Seeking experienced Form Carpenters in Culpeper, VA to build and set concrete forms for footings, walls, columns, slabs, decks and tilt-up/precast work. This is hands-on field work — you’ll work from layout, measure and cut materials, set forms, and help ensure pours go smoothly. Safety and skill development are required — OSHA 10 is preferred but can be obtained after hire. What you'll do

• • Install footing, wall, column, and structural deck forms per drawings and layout
• • Set slab-on-grade and prep/position tilt-up and precast forms
• • Measure, cut, fasten and align lumber and form materials to spec
• • Work from building layout and coordinate with crew during pours
• • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; enforce safety procedures on site
• • Participate in on-the-job training and required certification programs

What we're looking for

• • Hands-on experience with concrete formwork, framing, and site layout
• • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and layout information
• • Skilled measuring, cutting, fastening, and general carpentry techniques
• • Follow safety rules and work proactively to maintain a safe jobsite
• • Physical stamina for lifting, climbing, and working in all weather conditions

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10 preferred (will train and certify after hire if needed)
• • U.S. citizenship required
• • Able to pass drug screen and background check
• • Proven experience with concrete placement, curing, and formwork carpentry
• • Comfortable reading blueprints and basic construction math
