Carpenter - Form Foreperson

About This Role

Lead and supervise carpentry crews building concrete formwork and general carpentry on commercial and industrial projects in Iva, SC. You’ll plan daily and weekly work, set production goals, enforce safety, and coach crew members to meet schedule and quality targets. This is a hands-on foreperson role with physical work and leadership responsibility. Pay range is $10–$45/hr depending on experience. Expect outdoor work, up to 12-hour shifts, and a focus on safety, production, and clean job sites.

What You'll Do

• • Supervise and coordinate all carpentry/formwork activities and crew performance on-site.
• • Develop daily and one-week work plans, set weekly production goals, and track progress against the schedule.
• • Assign tasks, distribute materials and tools, and ensure crew productivity and workmanship meet specs.
• • Enforce safety rules, conduct toolbox meetings, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• • Coach, mentor and evaluate crew members; provide on-the-job training to improve skill and productivity.
• • Work with other foremen and trades to coordinate workflow, resolve issues, and keep the project on schedule.

What We're Looking For

• • Minimum 4 years’ hands-on carpentry experience, including concrete formwork and general framing.
• • Proven leadership or foreman experience directing small crews and managing daily production.
• • Strong knowledge of construction methods, plans, measuring and cutting, and building codes.
• • Ability to read plans, set layout, use hand and power tools, and inspect work for quality.
• • Comfortable working outdoors, climbing ladders/scaffolds, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working up to 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• • OSHA-10 certification (required)
• • Fluent in English; Spanish language skills preferred
• • Minimum 4 years’ relevant construction/carpentry experience
• • Valid driver’s license preferred
• • Ability to wear and use required PPE and climb ladders/scaffolds safely
