Concrete Carpenter — Formwork (San Antonio, TX)

About This Role

Looking for experienced concrete carpenters to build, set, and strip formwork on commercial and government projects in the San Antonio area. This is a per diem position paying up to $26/hr for skilled hands who can read drawings, work with a crew, and keep formwork accurate and square. You’ll be on-site assembling forms, interpreting plans, and working with concrete crews during pours. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are required. This role is practical, fast-paced, and focused on getting quality formwork built on time.

What You'll Do

• • Build, set up, brace, and strip concrete forms and formwork per plans
• • Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and as-built drawings
• • Perform site layout, measure and cut materials, and ensure correct elevations and alignments
• • Work with concrete crews during placement to ensure form stability and embed placement
• • Maintain tools, keep work area organized, and report material needs to lead
• • Follow jobsite safety rules and coordinate with team members and supervisors

What We're Looking For

• • Hands-on experience with concrete formwork carpentry on commercial or government projects
• • Able to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and as-built drawings
• • Skilled in site layout, measuring, cutting, and general framing carpentry
• • Knowledge of concrete placement/pouring practices and formwork quality control
• • Physically able to lift materials, work long days outdoors, and follow site safety protocols
• • Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken)

Qualifications

• • Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
• • Prior concrete formwork experience on commercial/government jobs
• • OSHA-10 (preferred)
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
