Concrete Carpenter — Formwork

About this role

Concrete carpenters needed in Lubbock, TX for per diem assignments building and assembling concrete forms on commercial construction projects. You’ll work on site with a crew to lay out, build, set and strip formwork to drawings and specifications. Open to workers willing to relocate. Ideal candidates have solid formwork experience, strong blueprint-reading and measuring skills, and the ability to work reliably on multi-day assignments away from home when required.

What you'll do

• • Build, assemble and set concrete forms per drawings and site layout
• • Interpret construction drawings and specifications; mark and verify lines, elevations and tolerances
• • Measure, cut and fit wood and metal form components; install in-wall blocking and bracing
• • Ensure formwork quality and dimensional accuracy; perform work inspection and corrections
• • Coordinate with crew and trade partners on site including crane signaling and material handling
• • Maintain tools, equipment and clean, safe work areas; follow site safety plans and instructions

What we're looking for

• • Proven experience in concrete formwork carpentry and general framing (rough and finish)
• • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, site layout and specifications
• • Skilled in measuring, cutting, bench carpentry and installation of framing, trim and blocking
• • Experience with scaffolding systems, metal and wood framing and staircase/floor framing work
• • Ability to work as part of a crew on fast-paced commercial projects and follow foreman direction
• • Willingness to travel and work per diem or relocate for multi-week assignments

Qualifications

• • Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel assignments
• • Crane signaling experience or certification preferred
• • Able to pass site background check and drug screen
• • Physically able to lift, carry and work at heights for extended periods
