About this role
We are hiring 5 Carpenters in Fort Myers, FL to build, erect, strip and repair concrete formwork under a foreman/lead. This is hands-on carpentry focused on footing, wall, column, structural deck and slab-on-grade forms, plus tilt-up/precast prep. Expect steady work on commercial concrete projects, day-to-day layout work, and chances to train and advance. Work with a crew using hand and power tools to deliver safe, accurate formwork on site.
What you'll do
- Install footing forms and set slab-on-grade forms
- Build and install wall, column and structural deck forms
- Prep and set tilt-up and precast forms
- Perform building layout, measuring and cutting to plan specifications
- Erect, strip and repair formwork and related carpentry components
- Maintain a safe work environment and participate in site safety training
What we're looking for
- High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years related carpentry/formwork experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Hands-on experience with concrete formwork carpentry and general concrete work
- Competent with site layout, measuring, cutting and common carpentry hand and power tools
- Able to work under direction of a foreman/lead on commercial construction sites and follow safety procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of concrete formwork/carpentry experience
- Blueprint reading and site layout proficiency
- Proven measuring and cutting skills for formwork
- Willingness to complete site safety and certification training
