Carpenter - Commercial Formwork

About This Role

Join a Nashville crew building rough wooden structures and concrete formwork on commercial projects. This is hands-on work installing vertical and horizontal forms, gang forms, scaffolds and other temporary structures. Expect outdoor work in all weather and tasks at elevated heights. You must provide basic personal carpentry tools and follow strict safety and drug-free policies. What You'll Do

• • Build vertical and horizontal concrete forms, gang forms, blocking, and temporary structures from sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions
• • Set up and tear down scaffolds, shoring, tunnel/bridge supports, and temporary frame shelters
• • Measure, mark, cut, fit and fasten lumber and formwork; perform layout and forming per plans
• • Work at elevated heights and outdoors in all weather while following safety procedures
• • Lift and move materials (frequently up to 50 lbs) and maintain clean, organized work areas
• • Inspect finished work for accuracy and report issues to foreman or lead

What We're Looking For

• • 3+ years commercial carpentry or formwork experience preferred
• • Ability to read sketches/blueprints, measure accurately, and perform general rough carpentry
• • Experience installing scaffolding systems and working at elevated heights
• • Provide and maintain basic personal carpentry tools (hammer, tape, speed square, chalk box, pliers, tool pouch)
• • Able to lift frequently up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather
• • Must follow strict safety and drug-free workplace policies

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10-hour construction safety card preferred (OSHA 30 a plus)
• • Scaffold safety or fall protection training preferred
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
• • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• • Basic English proficiency for reading plans and safety communications
