Full Time

Carpenter — Concrete Formwork (Nationwide)

Nationwide Up to $29/hr

About This Role

Join a nationwide crew as a skilled Carpenter specializing in concrete formwork. You’ll lay out and build wooden and prefabricated forms, set rebar, embeds and anchor bolts, pour and finish concrete surfaces, and ensure work meets plans, specs and safety standards. Pay is up to $29/hr depending on experience. This is hands-on field work: you’ll read and interpret blueprints, work at heights and in all weather, use hand and power tools, and inspect or correct work to meet contract standards. Travel assignments across the country are possible — bring your tools, commitment to safety, and a solid work ethic.

What You'll Do

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specs; visualize components in 3D from plans.
  • Measure, cut, assemble and install built-in-place and prefabricated wooden forms for concrete pours.
  • Place and tie rebar, install embeds and anchor bolts to plan specifications.
  • Pour concrete, finish surfaces to required tolerances, and perform proper curing procedures.
  • Brace and secure forms using spreaders, tie-rods, planks, bolts and scaffolding; follow layout and site plans.
  • Inspect work for compliance, identify deficiencies, and complete corrective actions or report issues to supervision.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous concrete formwork or rough/foundation carpentry experience (journeyman/skilled level preferred).
  • Able to read and accurately follow blueprints, measurements and layout instructions.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools, layout tools, measuring equipment and basic rigging.
  • Able to work at heights, on scaffolds and lifts, in varying weather conditions; must be physically fit.
  • Must have basic personal tools required for the trade and reliable transportation for jobsite access.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends and travel for nationwide assignments; able to pass pre-access drug/alcohol testing.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; several years’ hands-on carpentry/formwork experience.
  • OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour card preferred (or willing to obtain).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass fit-for-duty medical screening.
  • Basic first aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Proficient English for reading plans and communicating on site; additional languages a plus.

What We Offer

  • Pay up to $29/hr based on experience with overtime opportunities.
  • Nationwide assignments — steady project work and chance for travel pay or per diem on longer jobs.
  • Paid safety training and on-the-job skill development (formwork, rebar, finishing).
  • Consistent hours and potential for extended assignments; clear scope of daily duties.
  • Supportive crew environment focused on safe, quality work (PPE and site safety enforced).
