Concrete Formwork Carpenter

About This Role

Join a construction crew in Orlando as a Concrete Formwork Carpenter. Working under a foreman, you'll build, erect, strip, and repair wood, plywood and steel forms for footings, walls, columns, structural decks, slab-on-grade and tilt-up/precast work. This is a hands-on role with steady projects lined up, a strong emphasis on safety, and ongoing training opportunities. You’ll need grit, attention to detail, and at least 2 years of concrete formwork or related carpentry experience.

What You'll Do

• • Construct, set, brace, and strip wood/plywood/steel concrete forms per plans and layout
• • Install footing, wall, column, structural deck and slab-on-grade form systems
• • Prep and set tilt‑up and precast forms; coordinate with building layout and survey marks
• • Measure, cut, fasten and fit formwork components using hand and power tools
• • Repair forms, maintain form hardware, and assist with concrete placement support
• • Follow site safety procedures, attend training, and maintain a clean, organized work area

What We're Looking For

• • High school diploma or equivalent
• • Minimum 2 years of hands-on carpentry/formwork experience
• • Ability to read basic construction drawings, measure accurately and cut materials
• • Physically able to lift heavy materials, work at heights and perform manual labor outdoors
• • Must pass background check and drug screen; reliable attendance and punctuality

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or GED
• • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30 preferred) and/or first aid/CPR certification preferred
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and site layout marks
• • Clear background check and willingness to complete site drug screening
