Carpenter - Custom Closet Installer

About This Role

We’re hiring experienced finish carpenters to build and install custom closet systems and related cabinetry in residential homes around Lewes, DE. This is hands-on work: measuring, cutting, fitting, and finishing trim and panels to customers’ specifications. Installers must be comfortable working in occupied homes and delivering clean, professional results. Ideal candidates have solid cabinet-install and trim carpentry experience, can read layout plans and measurements, and take pride in precise finish work. This is local residential work with steady hours — pay is competitive and based on experience.

What You'll Do

• • Install custom closet systems, shelving, doors, and related cabinetry to layout and specifications
• • Perform precise trim and finish carpentry: scribing, miters, casing, base, paneling and final touch-ups
• • Read and follow layout plans, take accurate field measurements, and make on-site cuts/adjustments
• • Set, level, shim, fasten and seal cabinets and closet components for a clean, durable finish
• • Protect customers’ homes: cover floors, minimize dust, keep work areas clean and communicate professionally with homeowners

What We're Looking For

• • 2+ years residential finish carpentry or cabinet installation experience
• • Ability to read and interpret drawings, layouts and measurements accurately
• • Strong measuring, cutting and joinery skills; proficient with saws, routers, drills and hand tools
• • Experience with trim, paneling, and cabinet hardware installation
• • Comfortable working in occupied homes with attention to detail and customer-facing professionalism

Qualifications

• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• • Able to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work on ladders/scaffolding
• • Own basic finish carpentry hand tools (preferred)
• • High school diploma or equivalent; OSHA-10 or carpentry certification is a plus
• • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
