Commercial Carpenter — Doors, Frames & Hardware Installer
About This Role
Experienced commercial doors, frames, and hardware carpenters wanted in Denver, CO. This is a hands-on role installing commercial doors and hardware on multiple job sites each day. You’ll work from plans and manufacturer literature, prep frames (basic welding), hang prefinished doors without damage, and perform finish repairs as needed. We need motivated, detail-oriented tradespeople who work well with a team, follow shop sequencing and daily pre-task plans, and have reliable transportation for travel between sites. This is full-time (40 hrs/week) with benefits and opportunities for overtime; experience with commercial doors is required.
What You'll Do
- • Install commercial doors, frames, and hardware from plans, templates, and manufacturer literature
- • Use hand and power tools plus basic welding to prep and fit metal door frames
- • Handle and hang prefinished doors carefully; repair dents/dings and finish with Bondo as needed
- • Set and follow daily pre-task plans and shop sequencing/workflow
- • Travel to multiple commercial job sites per day with reliable transportation
- • Install locks, hinges, closers and other commercial hardware; ensure proper operation and clearances
What We're Looking For
- • Experience with commercial door systems is required (3–5 years preferred)
- • Ability to read and interpret drawings, templates, plans, and manufacturer instructions
- • Proven skill using hand tools, battery-powered drills, and basic welding equipment
- • Strong attention to finish and damage prevention when handling prefinished doors
- • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to follow sequencing and shop workflow
- • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for travel between job sites
Qualifications
- • Commercial door installation experience (3–5 years preferred)
- • Basic welding skills and frame prep experience
- • Experience with Bondo/finish repair on doors
- • Ability to read plans and manufacturer literature
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (required)
- • OSHA 10 (preferred)
