Carpenter — Doors, Frames & Hardware Installer
About this role
We are hiring experienced commercial doors, frames, and hardware installers in Denver, CO. This is hands-on, full-time work installing commercial doors and hardware across multiple job sites. You’ll work from plans and manufacturer literature, follow shop sequencing, and help keep jobs moving on schedule. Ideal candidates are motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working on a team. Expect to travel between job sites during the day, handle prefinished doors without damage, perform basic frame welding/prep, and create daily pre-task plans before starting work.
What you'll do
- • Install commercial doors, frames, and hardware from plans, templates, and manufacturer literature
- • Use hand tools, battery-powered drills, and perform basic welding/prep on metal frames
- • Handle, hang, and finish prefinished doors without damaging surfaces; patch dents/dings as needed
- • Follow door-hanging sequence and shop workflow; create and execute daily pre-task plans
- • Travel to multiple commercial job sites per day with reliable transportation
- • Work with locks, hinges, closers and other hardware; ensure proper fit and function of openings
What we're looking for
- • 3–5 years commercial door installation experience preferred
- • Ability to read and interpret plans, diagrams, templates, and manufacturer instructions
- • Proficient with hand tools, battery-powered drills, measuring and cutting, and basic welding
- • Experience working with locks, hinges, closers and other commercial hardware
- • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for travel between sites
- • Physically able to lift heavy doors, use scaffolding when required, and perform site clean-up
Qualifications
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- • 3–5 years commercial door/frames/hardware installation experience (preferred)
- • Basic welding skills or demonstrated welding experience
- • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- • Comfortable reading plans and manufacturer literature; must be detail-oriented
