About this role
We’re looking for experienced formwork carpenters to build, install, and strip engineered panel form systems on commercial concrete jobs across the U.S. This is hands-on carpentry focused on concrete column forms, walls, and slab-edge work. Projects are site-based and typically run from weeks to months, so travel to regional sites is required. Ideal candidates read and interpret blueprints, perform site layout, measure and cut accurately, and lead small crews. This is a skilled carpentry role — journeyman-level experience with modular panel or engineered formwork systems is preferred. Expect full-time, on-site schedules with possible travel rotations and overtime when needed.
What you'll do
- Assemble, install, adjust and strip engineered panel formwork for walls, columns and slabs
- Read and interpret blueprints, form drawings and shop layouts for concrete pours
- Perform site layout, measuring, cutting, and fit-up to tight tolerances
- Set and secure concrete column forms and related bracing and shoring
- Inspect formwork for safety and quality; maintain tools, hardware, and inventory
What we're looking for
- Hands-on experience with modular/engineered panel formwork systems on commercial concrete projects
- Proven ability to read technical drawings, layout plans and formwork details
- Strong rough carpentry skills: measuring, cutting, fastening and form tie work
- Journeyman-level experience or equivalent years on concrete formwork crews
- Willingness to travel to regional job sites and work full-time on-site shifts
Qualifications
- Journeyman carpenter card or equivalent experience on commercial formwork
- OSHA 10-hour certification required; OSHA 30 preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation; ability to travel
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- English required; Spanish or other language skills a plus
What we offer
- Medical, dental and vision options
- Retirement savings plan with employer contribution
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- Per diem or travel reimbursement for out-of-area assignments
- On-the-job training for manufacturer-specific form systems and tool allowance
