About this role
We’re hiring a hands-on carpenter foreman based in Atlanta to lead crews and perform core carpentry work across Georgia. This role is for an experienced framer who can read plans, set layout, direct a crew, and produce quality work on commercial and residential jobs. You’ll travel to project sites throughout the state, manage daily onsite operations, ensure layouts and framing meet plans and specs, and communicate with project leadership. Expect a practical, physically active role where leadership, accuracy, and steady crews deliver results.
What you'll do
- Lead and supervise a crew on-site each day; assign tasks, check work, and keep crews productive
- Read and interpret drawings and mark out site layout for framing, openings, and finish work
- Measure, cut, and install framing components—walls, floors, roofs, stairs—ensuring square and plumb assemblies
- Coordinate material staging, tool management, and daily work flow with subcontractors and superintendents
- Maintain jobsite safety and quality standards; report progress and issues to project management
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in general and framing carpentry on commercial and residential projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and perform site layout
- Previous foreman or crew leader experience with proven supervisory skills
- Strong measuring, cutting, and layout skills; able to set straight walls and level assemblies
- Reliable travel within Georgia, valid driver’s license, and dependable transportation
Qualifications
- Journeyman carpenter credential or equivalent field experience
- OSHA 10 (preferred) or OSHA 30 certification
- Current First Aid/CPR or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
