Concrete Carpenter

About this role

Local Concrete Carpenter needed for commercial projects across Fort Lauderdale, FL. This is a full-time, hands-on role for experienced concrete carpenters who know forms, walls and slab finishing. Candidates must live in the Fort Lauderdale area and have at least 3 years of commercial concrete experience. You will work on active job sites building and finishing concrete structures to plan specifications. Expect outdoor and indoor work in varying weather, strict PPE and safety procedures, and a focus on quality floor flatness/levelness and ADA-compliant finishes. What you'll do

• • Set, erect and align concrete forms per drawings and project specs; install bracing and form supports.
• • Place, finish, cure, cut, patch and repair concrete slabs, walls and other structures to meet flatness and levelness requirements.
• • Establish finish grades, set string lines, tie rebar and verify elevations, slopes and ADA compliance on sidewalks, ramps, curbs and driveways.
• • Operate finishing and placement equipment including single/double trowels, walk-behind machines, bull floats, straight edges, vibratory and curing equipment.
• • Use hand and power tools (saws, drills, lasers, float blades, joint tools) and perform concrete restoration, joint treatments and patching as needed.
• • Maintain tools and equipment, follow site safety rules, wear required PPE and communicate with crew leads to keep work on schedule.

What we're looking for

• • Minimum 3 years commercial concrete experience with forms, walls and slab finishing (local Fort Lauderdale candidates only).
• • Ability to read drawings, tape measure and set elevations; experience establishing finish grade during pours.
• • Skilled at tying rebar, setting string lines and building/forming systems per specifications.
• • Proficient operating trowel machines, bull floats, straight edges, saws, pumps, vibratory and curing equipment.
• • Physically able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs, climb, squat and work in varying weather while wearing full PPE.

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10 card
• • CPR and First Aid certification
• • Proficient in English for reading plans and on-site communication
