Concrete Carpenter

About this role

Join a Fort Lauderdale crew as a Concrete Carpenter working on commercial projects focused on forms, walls and slab finishing. This role requires local candidates only and a minimum of 3 years hands-on commercial concrete experience. You’ll work on-site handling form setting, rebar tying, place-and-finish operations, curing and patching. Expect heavy physical work in varying weather, full PPE at all times, and company-provided benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO and a 401(k) match.

What you'll do

• • Set and erect concrete forms per drawings and project specs; layout and verify elevations
• • Place, finish, cure, cut, patch and repair concrete slabs, walls, curbs, ramps and sidewalks
• • Establish finish grade during pours; set string lines, tie rebar and ensure proper slopes and ADA compliance
• • Operate finishing equipment: walk-behind and ride-on trowels, bull floats, straight edges, vibratory and curing equipment
• • Perform concrete restoration, joint treatments and surface prep to meet floor flatness/levelness requirements
• • Maintain hand and power tools, inspect work for quality, and follow site safety and PPE procedures

What we're looking for

• • 3+ years commercial concrete experience with forms, walls and slab finishing
• • Local to Fort Lauderdale — must be available for local projects (no long travel)
• • Able to read drawings, use tape measure, set string lines and establish elevations
• • Skilled tying rebar, placing concrete and executing finish sequences to meet project tolerances
• • Proficient operating trowel machines, bull floats, straight edges, vibratory and curing equipment
• • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in varied weather and wear full PPE

Qualifications

• • CPR and First Aid certification
• • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• • 3+ years concrete carpentry/finishing experience (commercial)
• • Ability to pass site onboarding and safety requirements
