Concrete Carpenter — Formwork (Amarillo, TX)

About This Role

Seeking experienced concrete carpenters in the Amarillo, TX area to build, set and strip formwork for commercial and infrastructure projects. You’ll work on-site with a crew to lay out forms, install rebar, support systems, and help with concrete placement and finishing when needed. This is a per diem position paying up to $25/hr. Ideal candidates are reliable, able to read drawings, experienced with modular form systems (Doka/Peri/Symon), and comfortable working in varying weather conditions. Bilingual Spanish/English is required.

What You'll Do

• • Build, set, brace and strip concrete forms to plans and specifications
• • Read and interpret civil/structural drawings and layout lines on site
• • Install concrete reinforcing and assist with concrete placement and finishing
• • Set up and use frame & brace and system scaffolding; perform rigging tasks as needed
• • Inspect formwork for accuracy and quality; repair and adjust as required
• • Work with crew and foreman to maintain schedule, safety, and material handling

What We're Looking For

• • Proven experience in concrete formwork carpentry and modular form systems (Doka, Peri, Symon preferred)
• • Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• • Hands-on experience with concrete placement, finishing, curing and protection
• • Rigging and scaffolding experience (frame & brace and system scaffolding)
• • Comfortable working in extreme heat/cold and performing physical labor; reliable transportation for travel
• • Bilingual: Spanish and English (spoken and read)

Qualifications

• • Bilingual: Spanish and English (required)
• • OSHA 10 (preferred) or equivalent safety training
• • Rigging/scaffold tickets or certifications (preferred)
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
• • Experience on heavy civil or government projects is a plus
