Concrete Form Carpenter

About This Role

Seeking experienced concrete form carpenters in the Amarillo, TX area to build, set and strip formwork for commercial and government projects. This is a hands-on role: you’ll assemble forms, set bracing, work with reinforcing and coordinate pours with concrete crews. Pay is up to $25/hr and this is a per diem position. We need reliable crew members who read drawings, work safely, and move quickly on-site. Work involves travel and multi-day projects; candidates willing to relocate are encouraged to apply. Bilingual Spanish/English speakers are required.

What You'll Do

• • Build, set, brace and strip concrete forms for footings, walls, slabs, beams and columns
• • Read and follow construction drawings, civil layouts and formwork specifications
• • Lay out form panels, anchors, embeds and openings; ensure forms are plumb, level and within tolerance
• • Coordinate with rebar crews and concrete crews for placement, curing and protection
• • Inspect forms and formwork hardware for safety and quality; repair and adjust as needed
• • Keep jobsite organized: maintain tools, secure materials and support crew members during pours

What We're Looking For

• • Proven experience building concrete formwork on commercial or government projects
• • Ability to read and interpret construction and civil drawings accurately
• • Hands-on experience with form systems (Doka, Peri, Symon) and common formwork hardware
• • Knowledge of concrete placement, finishing, curing/protection and concrete repair
• • Skilled in scaffolding/frame & brace, system scaffolding, rigging and concrete reinforcing
• • Physically fit for heavy lifting, long days outdoors in varying temperatures and reliable attendance

Qualifications

• • Bilingual: English and Spanish (required)
• • Valid driver's license and ability to travel/relocate for assignment
• • OSHA 10 (or higher) preferred
• • Rigging or signal person certification preferred
• • Proven track record with Doka/Peri/Symon formwork systems
• • Previous foreman or lead experience on concrete/formwork crews is a plus
