Concrete Carpenter

About this role

Mortenson is hiring a concrete carpenter in Seymour, TX. The role requires 5+ years of hands-on concrete and formwork experience, including form construction, stripping, concrete placement and finishing, and rebar work. Candidates should be experienced reading drawings and performing precise measuring and cutting. Per diem is offered for this assignment in Seymour, TX.

What you'll do

• Build, set and install concrete column forms and general formwork per drawings
• Strip and remove forms after concrete has cured
• Place and pour concrete, including consolidation and working with finishing crews
• Perform concrete finishing tasks (screeding, floating, troweling as required)
• Cut, bend and tie rebar to layout and specifications
• Read plans and perform accurate measuring and cutting of materials

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of concrete carpentry or formwork experience
• Hands-on experience with formwork construction and stripping
• Proven experience with concrete placement/pouring and finishing
• Skilled at cutting, bending and tying rebar
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and layouts
• Experience with concrete column forms and general concrete work
