Concrete Carpenter (Formwork)

About This Role

Seeking experienced concrete carpenters in the Oklahoma City, OK area to build and assemble concrete forms for commercial and government projects. You’ll work on site with a crew to lay out forms, set bracing, install reinforcing, and ensure pours go smoothly. This is a per diem position paying up to $25/hr. Candidates must read and interpret construction drawings, work safely in varied weather, and be able to travel or relocate for assignments. Spanish and English required.

What You'll Do

• • Build, set, brace and strip concrete forms for slabs, walls, footings and other structures
• • Read and interpret construction drawings, civil plans and specifications to layout forms accurately
• • Install concrete reinforcing, assist with rigging, and prepare formwork for concrete placement
• • Coordinate with crew during pours: monitor placement, finishing, curing and protection
• • Perform site layout, measure and verify tolerances; inspect formwork for quality and safety
• • Maintain tools, equipment and scaffolding; follow jobsite safety procedures and directions from foremen

What We're Looking For

• • Proven experience building concrete formwork on commercial or government projects
• • Ability to read and interpret drawings, civil plans and specifications
• • Skilled in concrete placement support tasks: reinforcing, rigging, finishing and curing protection
• • Experience with frame & brace and system scaffolding, site layout and work inspection
• • Capable of managing time/materials, following work schedules and training less-experienced crew
• • Physically fit for heavy lifting, repetitive work and working in extreme heat or cold

Qualifications

• • Minimum 3+ years concrete formwork carpentry experience
• • Bilingual: Spanish and English (required)
• • OSHA 10 (preferred) or OSHA 30 certification
• • Scaffolding and rigging competence/certification preferred
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• • Willingness to pass background and drug screening as required by project
