You will work under a foreman’s supervision on footings, walls, columns, decks and slab-on-grade work. The role requires hands-on formwork experience, attention to layout and concrete placement, and a commitment to safe, efficient work. This is a full-time, day-shift role with early starts and potential overtime during pours. You’ll participate in site-specific safety training and certifications, work with layout and precast/tilt-up teams, and help maintain tools and formwork for quality pours and timely strip operations.
What you'll do
- • Construct, erect, strip, and repair wood, plywood, and steel concrete forms per construction documents and foreman instructions
- • Set and install footing, wall, column, structural deck, and slab-on-grade forms; confirm layout and elevations
- • Prep and set tilt‑up and precast forms; assist with bracing, shoring, and alignment during erection
- • Work with layout strings, levels, and drawings to ensure correct placement and dimensions
- • Handle concrete placement support tasks: tying rebar, installing embeds, and protecting fresh concrete during curing
- • Maintain a safe worksite: follow site safety plans, wear PPE, and participate in toolbox talks and training
What we're looking for
- • High school diploma or equivalent
- • Minimum 2 years hands-on formwork/carpentry experience on commercial concrete projects
- • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and basic layout
- • Physically able to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and stand for long periods in all weather
- • Must pass a background check and be a U.S. citizen
Qualifications
- • High school diploma or GED
- • 2+ years concrete formwork or carpentry experience
- • Proven ability to read construction drawings and use layout tools
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
- • U.S. citizenship required and ability to pass a background check
What we offer
- • Site-provided PPE and safety gear plus regular safety training
- • Support for jobsite certifications and on-the-clock training
- • Paid time off and holiday policy (details provided during hiring)
- • Retirement plan options and medical benefits available (eligibility applies)
- • Stable regional work with overtime opportunities during pours and schedules
