What you'll do

  • Lead and supervise carpentry crews installing concrete formwork; set daily tasks and monitor productivity
  • Lay out, build, adjust, strip, and repair forms per plans and specifications
  • Read and interpret drawings, stakes, elevations, and layout marks; ensure form tolerances are met
  • Coordinate with superintendents, concrete crews, and inspectors to plan pours and sequencing
  • Enforce site safety, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure PPE and safe work practices are followed
  • Track crew hours, report progress, inspect quality, and manage on-site materials and small tools

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience leading formwork crews on commercial or civil concrete projects
  • Strong hands-on carpentry skills with concrete formwork, layout, and shoring systems
  • Ability to read construction drawings and set accurate layout for forms
  • Leadership and crew management: assign work, coach apprentices, and maintain crew performance
  • Familiar with on-site foreman duties: scheduling, timekeeping, and basic reporting
  • Comfortable working in outdoor conditions and performing physical labor

Qualifications

  • Journeyman carpenter certification or equivalent field experience
  • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30 preferred) card
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Cartersville jobsite
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
  • English required for on-site communication; Spanish a plus

What we offer

  • Site-paid PPE and tool allowance or support for required tools
  • Health insurance options and retirement plan enrollment
  • Paid time off and holiday time according to company policy
  • Overtime opportunities on active projects and consistent project work
  • Hands-on training and clear path for career advancement into senior foreman roles
