About this role
We’re hiring experienced concrete carpenters in the Tulsa, OK area to build and assemble concrete formwork for commercial and government projects. This is a per diem role; candidates must be willing to work on temporary assignments and travel to project sites as needed. You’ll work on-site with a crew to lay out formwork, measure and cut materials, set and brace forms, and coordinate with concrete crews during placement. We need dependable, skilled carpenters who read drawings accurately and maintain quality and safety under fast-paced schedules.
What you'll do
- Set up, build, brace, and strip concrete forms per plans and specifications
- Read and interpret construction drawings, as-built drawings, and site layouts
- Measure, cut, and assemble lumber, plywood, and formwork hardware to tight tolerances
- Verify levels, lines, and dimensions; ensure formwork aligns with grades and layout
- Coordinate with concrete placement crews during pours and assist with timing/sequence
- Maintain tools, secure materials on site, and follow site safety and quality procedures
What we're looking for
- Proven experience building concrete formwork on commercial or government projects
- Skilled at reading and interpreting construction drawings and as-built documents
- Ability to perform site layout, measure accurately, and cut/fit materials
- Strong general framing carpentry and concrete formwork skills
- Experience coordinating with concrete placement/pouring crews
- Willingness to work per diem, travel to project sites, and be flexible with assignments
Qualifications
- Bilingual: English and Spanish required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to travel to job sites
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Experience on government or commercial construction projects preferred
- OSHA 10 or equivalent site safety card preferred
- Own basic hand tools; specialty tools may be provided on site
