Concrete Carpenter (Formwork) - Dallas, TX

About This Role

Looking for experienced concrete carpenters in the Dallas, TX area to build and assemble formwork for commercial and government projects. You’ll be responsible for laying out, building, setting, and stripping concrete forms on jobs that include mid-rise and high-rise structures. This is a per diem position with opportunities for steady work and overtime. Open to candidates willing to relocate. You’ll work on-site with a crew, follow drawings and specs, and be expected to maintain quality, safety, and productivity every day.

What You'll Do

• • Build, set up, brace, and strip concrete forms for slabs, walls, columns, and footings
• • Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and as-built drawings for formwork layout
• • Perform site layout, measure and cut materials, and assemble formwork to required tolerances
• • Prepare form surfaces and coordinate with concrete crews for placement and finishing
• • Verify dimensions and maintain accuracy and quality of formwork throughout the project
• • Work with crew members and supervisors to maintain site safety, housekeeping, and schedule

What We're Looking For

• • 3+ years hands-on experience in concrete formwork carpentry on commercial or government projects
• • Skilled at drawing reading/interpretation, site layout, and measuring/cutting
• • Proven general framing and concrete carpentry skills (walls, slabs, columns, footings)
• • Experience with concrete placement/pouring procedures and coordinating with concrete crews
• • Ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and stand for long shifts
• • Reliable, punctual, able to follow directions and work as part of a crew

Qualifications

• • OSHA 10-hour (preferred) or OSHA 30-hour card
• • NCCER carpentry or equivalent trade school/apprenticeship preferred
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; able to travel to job sites
• • Ability to pass drug test and background check
• • Basic math skills and blueprint reading proficiency
• • English proficiency for safe on-site communication
