About This Role
Concrete Form Carpenter needed in Dallas, TX to build and assemble formwork for commercial, government, and mid/high-rise projects. This is a per diem position with steady work on structural concrete jobs. You’ll be part of a crew setting forms, bracing, and preparing for pours on-site. We want experienced carpenters who can read construction drawings and as-built plans, measure and cut accurately, and maintain high-quality formwork under schedule pressure. Relocation assistance is available for qualified workers willing to move to the Dallas area.
What You'll Do
- • Build, set up and strip concrete forms and formwork systems for slabs, walls, columns and beams
- • Read and interpret construction drawings, specs and as-built drawings to lay out formwork and confirm elevations
- • Measure, cut and assemble lumber, plywood and metal form components; install bracing, ties and shoring
- • Work with foremen, ironworkers and concrete crews to coordinate placement, embed items and ensure proper pour sequence
- • Verify dimensions, level and plumb forms; inspect formwork for safety and quality before pours
- • Clean, maintain and repair tools and forms; report damaged materials and keep accurate on-site records
What We're Looking For
- • Minimum 3+ years hands-on concrete formwork carpentry or equivalent framing experience
- • Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, site layout plans and as-built drawings
- • Skilled measuring, cutting, general framing and concrete placement support
- • Experience on commercial, government, and mid- to high-rise projects preferred
- • Able to work full days on-site, lift heavy materials, and work at heights safely
- • Willing to relocate to Dallas area or travel as required; available for per diem assignments
Qualifications
- • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30 preferred) safety card
- • Fall protection and scaffolding training preferred
- • NCCER or equivalent carpentry/formwork certification a plus
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- • Basic English fluency; bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
