Concrete Finisher (Carpenter) — San Antonio, TX

About This Role

Join our crew as an experienced concrete finisher in San Antonio, TX. You’ll handle concrete placement, finishing, curing and protection on commercial and government projects. Work is per diem with opportunities for relocation assistance for eligible workers. We’re looking for practical, hands-on carpenters who know formwork systems (Doka, Symon, Efco), read civil drawings, run finishing tools, and keep work safe and on schedule. If you take pride in straight edges, level slabs, and durable pours, this job is for you.

What You'll Do

• • Place, screed, float and finish concrete for slabs, sidewalks, curbs, footings and ramps
• • Build, set and strip formwork; install and tie concrete reinforcement per plans
• • Operate finishing equipment (power trowels, bullfloats, vibrators, saws) and hand tools
• • Apply curing compounds and protect surfaces; monitor curing, temperature and moisture controls
• • Read and interpret construction and civil drawings; perform site layout and set grades
• • Maintain site safety and quality standards; inspect work and coordinate with foremen/crew

What We're Looking For

• • 3+ years hands-on concrete finishing and formwork carpentry on commercial or government projects
• • Able to read and interpret construction drawings, civil plans and perform site layout
• • Experience with form systems (Doka, Symon, Efco) plus concrete placement, mixing, curing and protection
• • Skilled in concrete reinforcing, rigging, scaffolding (frame/bracing and system), and general masonry/paving repairs
• • Capable of working in extreme temperature conditions and following time-and-material and work-schedule plans
• • Proven ability to inspect finished work, train crew members and enforce safety/quality standards

Qualifications

• • Bilingual: Spanish and English required
• • Valid driver’s license; reliable transportation to job sites (CDL preferred for some roles)
• • OSHA 10 (required) — OSHA 30 preferred
• • Certifications in rigging/scaffolding or concrete-related credentials a plus
• • Ability to pass drug screen and background check upon request
