About this role
Seeking experienced concrete carpenters in the Oklahoma City, OK area to build and assemble concrete forms for government and commercial projects. This is a per diem, project-based role with opportunities for multi-week assignments and travel. You will work on site with a crew to set forms, place reinforcing, assist with pours, and ensure accurate, code-compliant formwork. Candidates must be able to read construction drawings, follow site safety rules, and communicate in English and Spanish.
What you'll do
- Build, assemble, set and strip wood and metal concrete forms on commercial and government projects
- Read and interpret construction drawings, layout plans and formwork specifications
- Install concrete reinforcing, tie rebar, and assist during concrete placement and finishing
- Set up and use scaffolding, bracing, and temporary shoring to maintain formwork accuracy and safety
- Operate rigging and material-handling equipment to load/unload and position form materials
- Maintain clean, organized work area; perform site cleanup and inspect completed formwork for quality
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in concrete formwork carpentry on commercial or government jobs
- Ability to read plans, measure accurately, and set forms to specified tolerances
- Hands-on experience with concrete placement, curing protection, and basic finishing
- Comfortable operating or supporting forklift, rigging, and oxy-fuel cutting equipment
- Willingness to work per diem assignments, travel to project sites, and relocate if needed
- Bilingual in Spanish and English for clear on-site communication
Qualifications
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- OSHA 10 (preferred) or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Forklift certification preferred; rigging certification a plus
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites
- Minimum 3 years hands-on concrete formwork carpentry experience
- Ability to pass site background and drug screening requirements
