Concrete Carpenter (Formwork)

About this role

Looking for experienced concrete carpenters in the Oklahoma City, OK area to build and assemble concrete forms for commercial and government projects. You will work with a crew to lay out, build, and set forms, install reinforcing, and prep for pours. This is hands-on work that requires accuracy, a good work pace, and the ability to follow drawings. This is a per diem position open to candidates willing to relocate or travel for assignments. Work will include jobsite setup, coordination with other trades, and maintaining clean, safe formwork ready for concrete placement.

What you'll do

• • Build, assemble and set concrete forms to dimensions from drawings and specifications
• • Measure, cut, and fit form materials; install form ties, bracing and shoring
• • Install concrete reinforcing and coordinate with crews for placement and pouring
• • Interpret construction drawings and follow layout and grade instructions
• • Perform site cleanup, load/unload materials, and maintain tools and equipment
• • Work with crew leads and other trades to meet schedule and quality standards on government and commercial sites

What we're looking for

• • Proven experience in concrete formwork carpentry and form assembly
• • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and project specifications
• • Experience with concrete reinforcing, placement prep, and finishing support
• • Comfortable operating hand and power tools, rigging and basic forklift operation
• • Physically fit for lifting, climbing scaffolds, and working in varied weather conditions
• • Reliable, team-oriented, able to follow safety rules and site instructions

Qualifications

• • Bilingual: English and Spanish (required)
• • Forklift certification or demonstrated operation experience
• • OSHA 10 (preferred) or other site safety training
• • Traffic control / flagger card or training (preferred)
• • Scaffolding competency or related certification (preferred)
• • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for assignments
