Concrete Carpenter — Formwork (Orlando, FL)

About This Role

Seeking experienced concrete carpenters in the Orlando, FL area to build, set and strip concrete forms for commercial and government projects. This is a per diem position with pay from $15–$45/hr depending on experience, plus daily per diem for travel where applicable. You will work as part of a crew on site, read and follow construction drawings and specifications, and be responsible for accurate, high-quality formwork. Immediate openings — steady work on active projects with government and commercial contractors.

What You'll Do

• • Build, set, brace and strip concrete forms per drawings and specs
• • Measure, cut and assemble forming materials (lumber, plywood, metal ties, rebar supports)
• • Interpret construction drawings, as-built drawings and site layouts to set form locations
• • Verify dimensions and ensure formwork is square, level and secure before concrete placement
• • Assist with concrete placement/pouring and final finishing coordination as required
• • Maintain tools and equipment, keep work areas safe and comply with site safety rules

What We're Looking For

• • Proven experience in concrete formwork carpentry on commercial or government jobs
• • Skilled at reading/interpreting construction drawings, site layout and as-built drawings
• • Strong measuring, cutting and general framing carpentry skills
• • Ability to work long hours in outdoor conditions, lift heavy materials and climb scaffolds
• • Team player who follows directions from foremen and coordinates with other trades

Qualifications

• • Fluent Spanish (required)
• • OSHA 10 (preferred) or OSHA 30
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• • Previous concrete formwork/carpentry experience; foreman experience a plus
• • Able to pass a drug screen and background check
