Concrete Carpenter (Formwork)

About this role

Looking for experienced concrete carpenters in the Orlando, FL area to build, set and strip concrete forms on commercial and government projects. Work is site-based and requires accurate form layout, solid framing skills and the ability to work efficiently with a crew. Candidates must be comfortable reading construction and as-built drawings, carrying out site layout, and maintaining quality during concrete placement and stripping. This is steady, full-time field work on local projects — day shifts with possible overtime as schedules demand.

What you'll do

• • Build, assemble and set concrete formwork for walls, columns, beams and slabs
• • Measure, cut and fasten lumber, plywood and hardware to required tolerances
• • Read and follow construction drawings, specifications and as-built drawings
• • Perform site layout and check elevations to ensure accurate form placement
• • Coordinate with concrete crews during placement and stripping to protect form integrity
• • Maintain tools, PPE and formwork materials; keep work area clean and organized

What we're looking for

• • Proven experience in concrete formwork carpentry on commercial or civil projects
• • Able to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings and specs
• • Strong measuring, cutting and general framing carpentry skills
• • Experience with site layout and setting grades/elevations
• • Comfort working on government projects and following strict quality controls
• • Works well on a crew, follows directions from foremen, reliable and punctual

Qualifications

• • Spanish language proficiency required
• • OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30 preferred)
• • First Aid/CPR preferred
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• • Preferred: 3+ years concrete formwork or related carpentry experience
