Concrete Carpenter — Formwork

About this role

Looking for experienced concrete carpenters in the Orlando, FL area to build, assemble and secure concrete forms on commercial and government construction sites. You’ll work with a crew to lay out sites, measure and cut materials, set formwork, and ensure pours go smoothly and accurately. This is hands-on work that requires solid formwork skills, the ability to read construction and as-built drawings, and clear communication with crew members and trade partners. Must be reliable, safety-focused, and able to work efficiently on fast-paced projects.

What you'll do

• • Build, set, brace and align wood and metal concrete forms for footings, walls, slabs and other structures
• • Read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings and as-built drawings to lay out formwork and marking points
• • Measure, cut and install framing members, lumber, plywood and form ties; ensure accurate dimensions and level work
• • Coordinate with crew members, laborers and concrete placers during pours to maintain safety and form integrity
• • Perform site layout, check elevations, maintain quality control and report issues to foreman or superintendent
• • Maintain tools and equipment, follow site safety procedures and keep work areas clean and organized

What we're looking for

• • Proven experience with concrete formwork carpentry on commercial or government projects
• • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and as-built drawings
• • Skilled in site layout, measuring, cutting, general framing carpentry and form installation
• • Experience working with concrete placement/pouring and general concrete work during pours
• • Ability to follow safety protocols, work as part of a crew and take direction from a foreman
• • Capable of working in variable weather and lifting/handling heavy materials on site

Qualifications

• • Bilingual: Spanish and English required for clear on-site communication
• • Familiarity with formwork systems, ties, braces and concrete finishing processes
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to local job sites
• • Ability to pass site background check and drug screening as required
• • OSHA 10 (or site safety training) preferred; foreman experience a plus
