About this role
Looking for experienced concrete carpenters in the Orlando, FL area to build and assemble concrete forms for commercial and government construction projects. You’ll work on active job sites installing formwork, laying out forms from drawings, and ensuring accurate, high-quality builds. This is hands-on, physical work performed on local sites. Candidates must read and interpret construction drawings, measure and cut materials precisely, and work as part of a crew under a foreman. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are required for site communication.
What you'll do
- Build, set up and secure concrete forms and formwork systems on site
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and as-built drawings to lay out formwork
- Perform site layout, measure and cut form materials to required dimensions
- Assemble form components, install ties, bracing and hardware to ensure form stability
- Assist with concrete placement, finishing coordination, and timely form stripping
- Maintain quality control, report defects, and follow site safety and housekeeping procedures
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in concrete formwork carpentry on commercial or government projects
- Strong drawing-reading and interpretation skills (plans, specs, as-built)
- Hands-on measuring, cutting, general framing carpentry and use of hand/power tools
- Experience with site layout and basic civil construction practices
- Ability to work safely at heights and in varying weather; physically able to lift and move materials
- Reliable, able to follow directions from foreman and work cooperatively with crew
Qualifications
- Bilingual: English and Spanish (fluent or conversational)
- OSHA 10 (preferred) or site safety orientation completed
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to local sites
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on concrete formwork experience preferred
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
