About this role

Lead hands-on carpentry crews on commercial and light-commercial projects in Carrollton, GA. This per diem position focuses on both rough and finish carpentry—framing, cabinetry, stairs, trim, windows, doors, and concrete formwork. You'll run jobsites, check work, and set layout while working with small crews and subcontractors. We need someone who can read drawings, manage time-and-materials tasks, train crew members, and keep projects on schedule. Open to candidates willing to relocate; per diem and travel assignments are part of the role. Site-specific safety orientation and regular inspections are required.

What you'll do

  • Lead daily crew tasks: site layout, measuring and cutting, framing (wood and metal), and floor/roof/stair framing
  • Install cabinets, countertops, trim, doors, windows, staircases, and interior paneling with finish-level quality
  • Set and strip concrete formwork, assist on excavation/trench work, and supervise floor sanding/finishing
  • Install scaffolding systems, perform crane signaling when required, and enforce site safety protocols
  • Manage time-and-materials tracking, jobsite material pulls, and develop work schedules to keep tasks on track
  • Inspect completed work, train and mentor crew, coordinate with subcontractors, and report job progress

What we're looking for

  • Proven hands-on experience in both rough and finish carpentry, including cabinetmaking and countertop installation
  • Skilled with wood and metal framing, stair and floor framing, roof framing, and concrete formwork carpentry
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, set site layout, and perform accurate measuring and cutting
  • Experience installing doors, hardware, windows, trim, paneling, and working with in-wall blocking
  • Comfort with scaffolding installation, crane signaling, and general site safety practices
  • Experience managing crews, developing work schedules, and tracking time-and-material costs

Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 (required) or OSHA 30 (preferred)
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred
  • Signal person / crane signaling certification preferred when required by site
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to relocate and work per diem assignments
  • English fluency; Spanish language skills a plus

What we offer

  • Per diem on travel assignments
  • Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
  • Paid time off and job-site paid orientation
  • Health insurance and retirement plan options
  • Tool allowance and boot/tool replacement support
  • Opportunities for foreman advancement and on-the-job training
