About This Role

Looking for a hands-on Carpenter to join small crews on construction projects in Forney, TX. You’ll work on residential and light commercial sites doing framing, finish carpentry, installs, and site clean-up. This is physical, skilled work — accurate layout, solid cuts, and neat finish matter. Pay starts at $20–30/hr depending on experience (DOE), with overtime opportunities and consistent schedules. You must be punctual, dependable, bring basic hand tools, and follow building codes and safety rules on every job.

What You'll Do

  • Lay out and build wood and metal framing for walls, floors, and roofs from prints and specifications
  • Install doors, windows, trim, baseboards, cabinets, and other finish carpentry elements to a high standard
  • Measure, cut, fit and fasten materials using saws, nail guns, routers, and hand tools
  • Read blueprints and plans; perform accurate layout and straight cuts to meet specifications
  • Maintain clean, safe job sites; secure materials and tools; report hazards and follow safety protocols

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years carpentry experience in framing and finish work on residential or light commercial projects
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints, tape measure, and basic layout tools
  • Comfortable using power and hand tools safely (circular saw, miter saw, nail gun, router)
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs, work from ladders/scaffolding, and stand for full shifts
  • Reliable transportation to job sites in Forney area, valid driver’s license, and willingness to pass a drug screen

Qualifications

  • OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety card preferred
  • Completion of carpentry apprenticeship or NCCER credential a plus
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • CPR/First Aid certification helpful
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
