Rough Carpenter

About This Role

Seeking a skilled rough carpenter to perform framing and structural carpentry on residential and commercial jobs within 50 miles of Lebanon, IN. You’ll be doing wood and steel framing, reading blueprints, laying out work, and making sure structures meet building codes and job specs. This is hands-on field work — bring solid framing experience, reliable transportation, and a focus on safe, efficient tool use. Pay up to $30/hr depending on experience. Work includes framing walls, floors, roofs, decks, and coordinating with other trades on busy job sites.

What You'll Do

• • Perform rough carpentry: frame walls, floors, roofs, floor systems and decks to plans and code
• • Read and work from blueprints, construction drawings, and site layouts
• • Measure, mark, cut and install lumber and steel framing for interior nonbearing partitions and exterior components
• • Safely operate hand and power tools, nailers, saws, and layout equipment
• • Install and work from scaffolding systems; perform site clean-up and maintain tools/equipment
• • Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades; inspect work to meet quality and code standards

What We're Looking For

• • Proven experience in wood framing and general rough carpentry on residential or commercial projects
• • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and site layouts
• • Experience with floor framing, roof framing, deck construction, and interior steel framing/partitions
• • Skilled using hand and power tools, measuring equipment, and installing scaffolding systems
• • Able to perform worksite inspections, maintain quality standards, and follow safety procedures
• • Reliable transportation and availability to work within a 50-mile radius of Lebanon, IN

Qualifications

• • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• • OSHA 10 (preferred) or site-specific safety training
• • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check if required
• • Aerial lift or forklift certification a plus
• • Spanish-speaking workers encouraged to apply
