Rough Carpenter

About this role

We are looking for a skilled rough carpenter to join job sites within 50 miles of Lebanon, IN. You will perform framing and structural carpentry work on residential and commercial projects — walls, floors, roofs and decks — working from blueprints and layouts. This role is hands-on and practical. Expect to use hand and power tools, set and check site layout, install scaffolding systems, inspect your work to meet codes and collaborate with other trades and site supervisors to keep projects moving on schedule.

What you'll do

• • Lay out and frame walls, floors, roofs and decks from plans and site layouts
• • Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to follow design intent
• • Measure, cut and install lumber and sheathing using hand and power tools
• • Install scaffolding systems and follow fall-protection procedures
• • Inspect and adjust framing to meet building codes and quality standards
• • Coordinate with other trades, perform site clean-up and maintain safe work areas

What we're looking for

• • Proven experience in general rough carpentry and wood framing (wall, floor, roof)
• • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and perform site layout
• • Experience with scaffolding systems installation and safe tool operation
• • Skilled in measuring, cutting, fastening and framing details (including decks)
• • Familiar with site inspection, quality checks and code-compliant installations
• • Comfortable working on residential and commercial job sites and coordinating with crews

Qualifications

• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
• • OSHA 10-hour construction or equivalent safety training preferred
• • Scaffold and fall protection training or certification preferred
• • Ability to lift, carry and handle materials on site; reliable physical stamina
• • Proficient English for reading plans and on-site communication
