Carpenter (All Skill Levels) — Nationwide
About This Role
Looking for carpenters to fill openings across the U.S. Work includes residential, commercial and industrial projects — framing, finish, cabinetry, exterior cladding, and concrete formwork. Assignments available for apprentices through experienced journeymen. Pay varies by region and experience (competitive hourly rates; overtime where applicable). Positions may include travel or multi-site work; candidates should be ready for hands-on tasks, working from drawings, and using common carpentry tools and equipment.
What You'll Do
- • Read and work from drawings, plans and layout marks to measure and cut materials accurately
- • Perform general rough and finish carpentry: wood framing, floor/roof framing, trim, stairs and paneling
- • Install cabinets, windows, exterior cladding, acoustical ceilings, and nonbearing partitions
- • Set up and work safely on scaffolding and temporary supports; assist with concrete formwork
- • Measure, cut and fit metal and wood framing components; operate power and hand tools safely
- • Maintain jobsite housekeeping, secure materials and coordinate with crews for on-time completion
What We're Looking For
- • Experience with general framing, finish carpentry, and bench work (apprenticeship or on-the-job experience accepted)
- • Ability to read and interpret drawings, cut lists and construction documents
- • Skilled in measuring, cutting, fastening and fitting lumber and metal studs
- • Familiarity with scaffolding, safe lifting, and common jobsite safety practices
- • Comfort working on residential and commercial sites, indoors and outdoors, at heights
- • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to follow directions from crew leads or foremen
Qualifications
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel for assignments
- • Basic blueprint reading and construction math skills
- • OSHA 10-hour or equivalent safety training preferred (employers may provide training)
- • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand, kneel and work on ladders and scaffolding for full shifts
- • Willingness to submit to standard pre-employment drug screen and background check
- • Spanish or other language skills a plus for crews in some regions
What We Offer
- • Competitive hourly pay (depends on experience) with overtime pay where applicable
- • Steady assignments across regions — local and travel jobs with per diem when required
- • Tool allowance or reimbursement for job-required tools and PPE
- • Paid time off or holiday pay on select assignments (varies by project)
- • Opportunities for hands-on training and trade upskilling on the job
- • Direct-hire and long-term project opportunities for reliable performers
