About This Role

Join a crew building industrial and commercial projects in Iva, SC as a Carpenter. You’ll read drawings and specifications, lay out work, perform hands-on framing, finish and formwork tasks, and inspect work for quality and code compliance. This role emphasizes safe, productive work and working with a crew to meet project plans and schedules. You should be comfortable doing hard physical work—climbing, lifting, working on scaffolds and steel—on up to 12-hour shifts in varying weather. Pay is up to $33/hr depending on experience and skill level. We value people who communicate clearly, look for ways to improve methods, and share know-how with others on the job.

What You'll Do

  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications and safety standards; lay out work accordingly
  • Perform general rough and finish carpentry: forming, framing, trim, paneling, stair and window work
  • Climb and work safely on scaffolds, ladders and steel/wood framework; follow PPE and site safety rules
  • Inspect and guide crew members’ work for accuracy and compliance; point out deficiencies and correct them
  • Maintain tools, request materials, eliminate waste (rework, waiting, unnecessary movement) and keep jobsite organized

What We're Looking For

  • 1–4+ years industrial/commercial carpentry experience (level depends on years/skill); strong trade math
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings and follow project specs and codes
  • Skilled with common carpentry tools, measuring, cutting, leveling and layout
  • Physically able to work up to 12-hour shifts, lift up to 50 lbs., climb and balance on ladders/scaffolds
  • Strong verbal and written communication; able to give clear instructions and work with a crew
  • Knowledge of building codes, construction methods, steel framing, exterior cladding and acoustical ceilings

Qualifications

  • Bilingual: English and Spanish required
  • Minimum 1 year (Level I) up to 4+ years (Senior) of industrial/commercial carpentry experience
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • OSHA 10-hour (preferred) or equivalent site safety training; willingness to complete required site certifications
