About this role
Long-term concrete formwork carpenter opportunity on a large industrial jobsite near Cartersville/Carrollton, GA. This multi-year project runs through mid-2028 and prioritizes local candidates while welcoming skilled carpenters from across the country. Non-local hires receive a weekly per diem of $500. This role is ideal for experienced formwork carpenters with commercial, industrial or power project background. You’ll lay out and build footings and foundations, set anchor bolts, work with multiple form systems (gang and handset systems), and read structural drawings on an active, heavy-duty site. Currently employed candidates and those willing to relocate are encouraged to apply.
What you'll do
- Lay out, build and strip concrete forms for foundations, footings and other cast-in-place work on a large industrial site
- Set and verify anchor bolts and embeds per structural drawings and tolerance requirements
- Install and adjust gang and handset form systems and work with a variety of commercial form systems
- Read and interpret structural and civil drawings; perform site layout and take precise measurements
- Work safely around cranes, heavy equipment and multiple trades; follow site safety rules and coordinate with supervisors
What we're looking for
- Proven concrete formwork experience on commercial, industrial or heavy civil projects
- Experience setting anchor bolts and working to layout tolerances
- Comfortable working with gang forms, handset forms and multiple form systems
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and perform accurate site layout
- Willingness to work on a large active industrial/power site and follow site-specific procedures
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass drug and background screening
- OSHA 10 (preferred) or equivalent site safety awareness
- Proven experience with anchor bolt setting and layout
- Crane signaling / lift coordination experience preferred
- English required; Spanish a plus
