Carpenter Foreman (Concrete Lead)
About This Role
Seeking a hands-on Carpenter Foreman based in Butner, NC to lead crews on a mix of carpentry and concrete work. This role covers projects within a 70-mile radius of Butner and pays up to $37/hr depending on experience. You’ll run job sites, set priorities, and get hands-on with forming, finishing, and general carpentry tasks. The right candidate is a proven concrete worker who can direct a crew safely and efficiently, read plans, and troubleshoot field issues. What You'll Do
- • Lead and supervise small carpentry crews on-site, assign tasks, and ensure work is completed on schedule
- • Perform concrete tasks including forming, pouring, finishing, patching, and curing control
- • Carry out general carpentry: framing, trim, blocking, framing repairs, and site layout from plans
- • Enforce job-site safety, maintain clean work areas, and ensure crew follows safety rules and PPE use
- • Coordinate materials, tools, and small equipment; report issues and progress to project contacts
- • Measure, cut, and install materials; inspect finished work for quality and make corrections as needed
What We're Looking For
- • Proven concrete experience — forming, pouring, finishing, and repair work
- • Previous lead or foreman experience directing crews and coordinating daily tasks
- • Solid carpentry skills: framing, trim, and basic finish work; able to read plans and layout jobs
- • Reliable transportation and availability to work jobs within a 70-mile radius of Butner, NC
- • Strong safety focus and ability to enforce site rules; dependable attendance and punctuality
- • Physical ability to lift, bend, and work outdoors in varied weather; basic tool and equipment knowledge
Qualifications
- • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for job travel
- • OSHA 10 (preferred) or commitment to obtain on hire
- • Previous foreman/crew lead experience on residential or commercial sites
- • Concrete finishing experience or concrete-related certification preferred
- • Ability to pass a drug test and background check if required
