What You'll Do
- • Install AWW, plastic laminate (PL) and metal casework, fume hoods, doors, frames and hardware to specs.
- • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings and installation layouts to plan efficient work sequences.
- • Preplan tools, materials and installation techniques for the fastest and safest execution; set up and protect work areas.
- • Perform finish carpentry tasks: scribing, fitting, trimming, shimming, anchoring and final adjustments for clean installations.
- • Follow the ISEC Safety Program: report hazards, use Stop Work Authority, report incidents, and help maintain a safe jobsite.
- • Maintain personal tools, keep work areas organized, and coordinate with other trades and supervisors on site.
What We're Looking For
- • High school diploma or GED and 3–5 years’ experience as a finished carpenter.
- • Hands-on experience with casework, PL/laminate, architectural millwork and metal casework.
- • Able to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings and layout instructions.
- • Supply and maintain personal hand and power tools; able to preplan materials and methods.
- • Able to work with minimal supervision, follow directions, and communicate clearly with foremen and trades.
- • Union membership required where applicable and willingness to follow union rules and site policies.
Qualifications
- • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- • 3–5 years experience as a finished carpenter with casework/millwork experience.
- • Union card or eligibility where applicable.
- • OSHA 10 (or willing to obtain) and demonstrated participation in safety programs (ISEC Safety Program).
- • Ability to read blueprints and use standard carpentry hand and power tools.
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
What We Offer
- • Competitive pay (DOE) and union wage scale where applicable.
- • Health benefits (medical, dental, vision) and retirement plan/401(k) options where available.
- • Paid time off and recognized holidays; steady hours and overtime opportunities.
- • Tool allowance or reimbursement for approved tools and gear.
