About this role
Seeking a skilled carpenter/finisher for a project at Plant Wansley near Carrollton, GA. This is a hands-on role focused on finish and general carpentry work in an industrial/plant setting. Expect layout, trim, bench work, and some framing tasks. This opportunity appears to be a short-term assignment on a commercial/industrial project. Candidates should be able to start promptly, read and interpret drawings, and work safely around heavy equipment and other trades.
What you'll do
- Read and follow technical drawings, shop drawings, and blueprints for finish and framing work
- Perform finish carpentry tasks: install trim, door frames, hardware, and finish millwork
- Measure, mark, and cut materials accurately using hand and power tools
- Complete bench carpentry tasks and fit components per specifications
- Assist with general framing and layout as needed for plant installations
- Maintain tools, keep work areas clean, and follow site safety procedures
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in general and finish carpentry on commercial or industrial projects
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and shop drawings
- Skilled in measuring, cutting, fitting, and finishing millwork
- Bench carpentry and joinery experience
- Journeyman-level skillset or equivalent field experience
- Comfort working in an active plant environment and following site safety rules
Qualifications
- Journeyman Carpenter certification or equivalent experience
- Proficient with blueprint and technical drawing interpretation
- Experience in bench and finish carpentry
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Carrollton, GA
- Able to lift, stand, and work at heights as required by site tasks
