Carpenter (Seasonal — Damascus, VA)

About This Role

Looking for 4–5 reliable carpenters to start in July for a seasonal project based in Damascus, VA. The work runs through the summer into fall. These roles require travel to job sites and may rotate onto other company projects as work continues. This is hands-on carpentry: you’ll be reading drawings, performing rough and finish carpentry, framing, measuring and cutting, and working on both commercial and residential tasks. Ideal candidates are hard-working, punctual, able to travel, and comfortable working in a crew environment.

What You'll Do

• • Read and interpret drawings and layout plans on-site
• • Perform general rough framing and structural carpentry
• • Complete finish carpentry tasks: trim, doors, windows, and interior finish work
• • Measure, mark, and cut materials accurately to plans and specifications
• • Follow construction methods and use common carpentry tools and equipment safely
• • Travel to project sites as required and maintain clean, safe work areas

What We're Looking For

• • Practical experience in rough and finish carpentry (commercial and/or residential)
• • Ability to read and interpret drawings and construction plans
• • Strong measuring, cutting, and general framing skills
• • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safe work practices
• • Ability to travel to job sites and work extended hours during peak season
• • Reliable transportation and punctual, crew-oriented work ethic

Qualifications

• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check (if required)
• • OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training preferred
• • Prior carpentry certification (NCCER or trade-specific) preferred
• • Comfortable with Spanish or other language skills a plus but not required
