About This Role
Join a short-term reconstruction project in Catoosa, OK as a Concrete Carpenter Journeyman. This industrial job pays $30/hr for 50–60 hour work weeks (Monday–Saturday) and focuses on concrete formwork, placement, and finishing for track, rail pits, jump span structures, and a concrete tunnel extension. This project runs about one month with potential transfer opportunities after completion. Work is local hire only — no per diem or travel incentives — so candidates must live in or near Catoosa and be ready to start and work full 50–60 hour weeks.
What You'll Do
- • Lay out, build, set and strip concrete formwork for track, rail pits, jump span structures and tunnel extension
- • Install concrete reinforcing, place and finish concrete pours to industrial tolerances
- • Read and follow civil/structural drawings and site layouts; perform on-site measurements and adjustments
- • Operate rigging and scaffolding systems (frame & brace, system scaffolding) and oversee safe access
- • Perform demolition, repair and prep work as needed; inspect work and make quality corrections
- • Coordinate with crew leads, follow schedule development, and keep accurate time/material records
What We're Looking For
- • Journeyman-level concrete carpentry experience in industrial or heavy-civil projects
- • Proven ability with concrete formwork, reinforcing, placement, finishing and curing
- • Comfortable reading/interpreting drawings (civil/structural) and performing site layout
- • Experience with scaffolding, rigging and general masonry/demolition tasks
- • Available for 50–60 hour work weeks (Monday–Saturday) and local to Catoosa, OK
- • Able to work across disciplines as needed and follow site safety procedures
Qualifications
- • Minimum several years’ journeyman-level concrete carpentry experience
- • Ability to read civil/structural drawings and perform site layout
- • OSHA 10 (preferred) or equivalent safety training
- • Scaffold and rigging experience/certification preferred
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; able to pass company drug screen
- • Physical ability to perform heavy manual labor, lift, and work in outdoor conditions
