Concrete Worker (Flatwork / Finishing)
About This Role
Hands-on concrete work in and around Carrollton, GA. You’ll be pouring, forming, finishing and curing slabs, sidewalks, driveways and foundations on residential and light commercial jobs. Day shifts, local routes, steady hours — pay $18–28/hr depending on experience. We want dependable crew members who show up on time, follow safety rules, and can handle physical work. If you know how to set forms, screed and finish concrete, or are willing to learn, there’s steady local work and room to move up.
What You'll Do
- • Set and strip forms, install rebar/ties and layout for pours
- • Mix, place, consolidate and finish concrete for slabs, sidewalks and small foundations
- • Operate hand and power tools: screeds, bull floats, trowels, saws and vibrators
- • Protect and cure concrete (covering, jointing, finishing details)
- • Clean and maintain tools, equipment and jobsite; load/unload trucks
- • Follow site safety procedures and communicate with foremen and crew
What We're Looking For
- • 1+ year concrete or flatwork experience preferred (entry-level trainees considered)
- • Ability to use finishing tools and basic power tools safely
- • Physical stamina: lift 50+ lbs, stand and bend for full shifts
- • Reliable transportation to jobsite in Carrollton and surrounding areas
- • Punctual, able to follow directions, and work well on a crew
Qualifications
- • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- • OSHA 10 preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- • ACI finisher or field testing certifications a plus
- • Comfortable speaking English or Spanish (bilingual helpful)
- • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
