Concrete Worker

About this role

Brasfield & Gorrie is hiring a Concrete Worker in Carrollton, GA. The role supports on-site concrete operations including forming, placing, finishing and general concrete trade tasks on construction projects. Candidates should be able to do physical labor, work with concrete hand and power tools, follow directions from supervisors and follow site safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Prepare and clean work areas, set and strip forms and bend rebar as needed
• Mix, pour, place and spread concrete; handle wheelbarrows, pumps and buckets
• Screed, float, trowel and finish concrete surfaces to specified elevations and finishes
• Operate common concrete hand and power tools (trowels, vibrators, saws, floats) and assist equipment operators
• Follow layout, grade and stake instructions; work to lines and elevations provided by foreman
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and assist other crew members with material handling and site tasks

What we're looking for

• Hands-on experience working with concrete or in general construction labor
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks: lift, carry, kneel, bend and stand for long periods
• Ability to use hand and basic power tools safely
• Read and follow instructions from supervisors and basic site layout/grade marks
• Reliable attendance and punctuality for work at job sites in Carrollton, GA
• Willingness to follow site safety rules and directions from the foreman

Qualifications

• OSHA 10-hour Construction card preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job site
• Basic English communication skills for following instructions and safety briefings
