Concrete Worker

About this role

Join a local crew working commercial and civil concrete projects around Carrollton, GA. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows concrete work—forming, placing, finishing—and wants steady, day-shift project work with chances for overtime. You’ll work on job sites with skilled crew members, follow site safety plans, and handle physically demanding tasks. Reliable attendance, basic layout skills, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather are essential.

What you'll do

• • Set and build forms, install rebar and anchor bolts, and prepare subgrade and formwork for concrete pours
• • Mix, place, consolidate and finish concrete using hand and power tools (screed, float, trowel, edger, broom finish)
• • Operate small equipment: power screeds, vibrators, saws, and trowel machines; perform routine maintenance and inspections
• • Read basic plans and grade stakes; set screed elevations and maintain correct line and grade
• • Clean and maintain tools and work area; load/unload material and assist with site layout and cleanup
• • Follow site safety plan, use PPE, and report hazards or incidents promptly

What we're looking for

• • Hands-on experience with forming, placing and finishing concrete (previous flatwork or structural concrete work preferred)
• • Comfort with physical labor: lift frequently up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and work on your feet for full shifts
• • Able to read tape measures, follow basic layout instructions and interpret grade stakes
• • Reliable transportation to Carrollton-area job sites and consistent punctual attendance
• • Willingness to work early starts, full day shifts, and occasional overtime; follow site safety rules and job briefings

Qualifications

• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• • OSHA-10 construction card preferred or able to obtain on hire
• • First aid/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• • Able to pass drug screen and background check
• • Basic English language skills required; Spanish helpful
