About this role
Join a Savannah-based crew as a Ride-On Finisher Operator focused on commercial and site concrete work. You’ll run ride-on finishing equipment, produce smooth, level concrete surfaces, and help deliver projects on schedule across the Savannah area. This role is hands-on: set up equipment, interpret layout and finish schedules, and work with a small crew on flatwork, slabs, and other surface finishes. Reliable attendance, safety-first habits, and proven ride-on trowel experience will help you succeed here.
What you'll do
- Operate ride-on finishing equipment (ride-on trowels/ride-on power trowels) to produce flat, dense, and uniform concrete surfaces
- Set up screeds, guides, and edge details; perform hand-finishing where required to meet specs
- Read and follow drawings and finish schedules to lay out joints, slopes, and elevations
- Monitor surface conditions and adjust equipment/settings to achieve required finish and tolerance
- Perform routine equipment checks, basic maintenance, and daily clean-up of machines and work area
- Work with crew and foreman to maintain production pace, quality control, and site safety
What we're looking for
- Proven experience operating ride-on finishing equipment and performing commercial concrete finishing
- Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, finish schedules, and layout marks
- Strong knowledge of concrete placement, finishing sequence, jointing, and curing practices
- Physically fit: able to lift, bend, and work long shifts outdoors in varying weather
- Reliable transportation to Savannah-area job sites and punctual work attendance
- Team player with a safety-first attitude and willingness to follow site procedures
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
- OSHA 10 (preferred) or willingness to complete site safety training
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check as required by client sites
- Fluent English for safety and crew communication; Spanish language skills a plus
- Proven record of ride-on trowel operation and concrete finishing experience
