Crane Operator — Steel Hanger (Fort Wayne, IN)

About This Role

Four NCCCO-certified crane operators needed for steel hanger work in and around Fort Wayne, IN. Candidates must have at least 5 years of heavy crane experience on steel projects and be comfortable with critical and multi-crane lifts. This is hands-on steel work: rigging, lift planning, lattice and telescopic boom operations, and working safely near electrical transmission lines. Per diem is offered for non-local workers; local travel to job sites around Fort Wayne is expected.

What You'll Do

• • Operate lattice and hydraulic/telescopic boom cranes for steel erection and hanger installs
• • Perform rigging, prepare lift plans, and execute critical and multi-crane lifts safely
• • Assemble/disassemble crane attachments (lattice sections, hammerhead, luffing), perform pre-shift inspections
• • Follow site civil drawings and coordinate lifts with ironworkers, riggers, and superintendents
• • Work safely around electrical transmission wires, perform blind lifts and demolition lifts as required

What We're Looking For

• • Minimum 5 years proven crane operating experience on steel erection projects
• • Comfortable with critical lifting, multi-crane lifts, and blind lifting
• • Experience with lift planning, rigging, and curtainwall/precast erection operations
• • Ability to operate lattice boom, telescopic boom, hammerhead and luffing boom cranes
• • Willingness to work in/around Fort Wayne, IN; per diem available for non-local hires

Qualifications

• • NCCCO Crane Operator certification (required)
• • 6G welding certification
• • 4G welding certification
• • 3G welding certification
• • Hands-on TIG, MIG and Stick welding/fabrication experience
• • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to Fort Wayne-area sites
