Join a field crew installing, maintaining and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling on commercial and data center projects in and around Pampa, TX. This role is travel-ready and requires reliable, safety-focused technicians who install copper and fiber systems, terminate and test cabling, and support commissioning activities. We want experienced hands: people with at least 2 years of structured cabling/low-voltage work, comfortable working on job sites that require travel and weekend shifts. If you’re dependable, able to read drawings, and experienced with both copper and fiber-optic installation and testing, this position is for you.

What you'll do

  • Install, terminate and test copper and fiber-optic cabling (patch panels, jacks, splice enclosures, MPOs)
  • Perform cable routing, labeling, dressing and secure cable management in racks and pathways
  • Use testers and OTDRs to certify runs, troubleshoot faults, and document test results
  • Complete punch lists, maintain as-built documentation and update drawings or cable schedules
  • Follow site safety procedures, attend site-specific safety meetings, and use required PPE
  • Travel to project sites and work weekend shifts as project schedules demand

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years structured cabling or low-voltage installation experience
  • Hands-on experience with copper and fiber-optic cabling installation, termination and testing
  • Comfortable working in data center environments preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for projects
  • Available for weekend work and flexible project schedules
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces when required

Qualifications

  • BICSI Installer (Installer 1 / Installer 2) or BICSI Technician certifications preferred
  • Optical fiber and copper-specific installer credentials or coursework
  • Networking certifications like CCNA or CNCI are a plus
  • Proven experience with OTDRs, power meters, cable certifiers and hand-termination tools
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, test reports and follow written instructions

What we offer

  • Per diem and travel support for out-of-area assignments
  • Overtime opportunities on project schedules
  • Site-specific safety training and tools/equipment provided as needed
  • Clear path for skill development and advancement on larger projects
  • Predictable project assignments with regular crew communication
