Drywall / Ceiling Tile Installer

About this role

Join a busy commercial drywall crew in Fort Lauderdale, FL. We need experienced installers who can handle all phases of metal stud framing, drywall hanging, and high-quality finishing with minimal supervision. This role is hands-on: you’ll perform Level 5 finish work using hand and power tools, install acoustical ceilings, assist with layouts, and keep tools and equipment maintained. Expect to work on active job sites, at heights, and in varying weather conditions.

What you'll do

• • Perform metal stud framing and hang drywall on commercial projects
• • Execute Level 5 drywall finishing using hand tools and power tools (boxes, bazookas)
• • Install acoustical ceiling tiles (ACT) and assist with ceiling layouts
• • Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on drywall tools and equipment
• • Follow site safety procedures, use PPE at all times, and work safely at heights
• • Assist with material loading/unloading, site cleanup, and maintaining organized work areas

What we're looking for

• • Minimum 2 years commercial drywall experience including metal stud framing and hanging
• • Proven ability to produce Level 5 finishes; experience with boxes and bazookas a plus
• • Working knowledge of drywall hand tools and power tools, and basic tool maintenance
• • Ability to read and follow drawings and layout instructions
• • Comfortable working at heights, in varying weather, and lifting up to 50 lbs
• • Good communication with crew and supervisors and ability to work with minimal supervision

Qualifications

• • 2+ years experience in commercial drywall framing, hanging, and finishing
• • Demonstrated Level 5 finishing ability
• • Experience with acoustical ceiling (ACT) installation preferred
• • Comfortable with scaffolding systems, lifts, and working at heights
• • Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and perform prolonged physical tasks
• • Basic drawing reading and measurement skills; able to follow layout instructions
