Drywall Foreman
About this role
Field-based Drywall Foreman needed to lead drywall and acoustical ceiling crews on commercial construction projects across the Dallas/Fort Worth area. You will supervise crews of 10–40 workers, manage exterior/interior framing, drywall installation and acoustical ceilings (finishing not included), and keep jobs moving on schedule. This role is hands-on: coordinate materials and logistics, enforce the site Injury Free Environment (IFE) safety program, maintain quality and productivity standards, mentor craft workers, and use an iPad with construction software to manage daily field operations.
What you'll do
- • Lead, mentor, and supervise crews of approximately 10–40 craft workers on commercial jobsites.
- • Manage full drywall scope: exterior/interior framing, drywall installation, and acoustical ceiling (ACT) installation (no finishing duties).
- • Read and interpret plans and perform field layout; check dimensions and ensure work meets drawings and specs.
- • Coordinate jobsite logistics: material procurement, deliveries, equipment, and daily schedules.
- • Enforce the site Injury Free Environment (IFE) safety program, PPE use, and safe work practices; report and correct hazards.
- • Use iPad and construction software to track progress, process timesheets, communicate with the project team, and document quality.
What we're looking for
- • 5–10+ years in the drywall trade with prior foreman or supervisory experience on commercial projects.
- • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish — required for clear crew communication and coordination.
- • Proven ability with exterior/interior framing, drywall installation, and acoustical ceiling (ACT) systems.
- • Comfortable reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and performing site layout.
- • Proficient with mobile construction technology (iPad) and common software tools (Procore, Teams, email).
- • Knowledge of safe work practices; OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred and ability to enforce safety rules.
Qualifications
- • Minimum 5 years experience in drywall trade; foreman-level leadership experience preferred
- • Bilingual: English and Spanish (required)
- • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- • Proficiency with iPad and construction management software (Procore, Teams, etc.)
- • Able to lift up to 50 lb, work at heights, and perform prolonged physical activity
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for field-based work
