Drywall / Ceiling Tile Installer

About this role

We are looking for experienced drywall and ceiling tile installers to work on commercial and residential projects across Honolulu and the Hawaiian Islands. Work includes hanging, finishing, and installing suspended ceilings on new construction, renovations, and tenant-improvement jobs. This is a statewide search — projects may be based on Oahu with periodic island travel. Ideal candidates are hands-on, reliable, and able to read plans, work around other trades, and keep a steady pace to meet project schedules.

What you'll do

• Hang drywall and install acoustic and lay-in ceiling tile systems on commercial and residential jobsites
• Tape, mud, sand, and finish joints to specified levels; prepare surfaces for paint or final finishes
• Measure, cut and fit gypsum board, metal studs, furring channels and suspension systems per drawings
• Set layout lines, install anchors, grid systems and trim; install access panels and bulkheads
• Operate lifts, scaffolding and ladders safely; maintain tools and organize materials on site
• Coordinate with other trades, follow site safety plans, and complete daily logs or timecards

What we're looking for

• Proven experience installing drywall and ceiling tile on commercial or multi-family projects
• Ability to read basic blueprints and follow layout and detail drawings
• Comfort working at heights on lifts and scaffolds and lifting materials up to jobsite standards
• Proficient with hand and power tools used in drywall and ceiling installation (saws, screw guns, trowels)
• Reliable transportation for travel between job sites and availability for statewide assignments when required

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• OSHA 10-hour construction safety card preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working on scaffolding and aerial lifts; fall protection training preferred
• Ability to pass a background and drug screen as required by client sites
• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or apprenticeship experience a plus
