About This Role

Join our crew in Charlotte as a Journeyman Drywall Hanger and Metal Stud Framer. You’ll install drywall panels and frame walls and ceilings with metal studs on commercial and residential projects. Expect hands-on work every day, moving between job sites and working closely with other trades. We’re looking for someone who works clean, follows plans, and takes pride in quality and safety. If you can read blueprints, measure and cut accurately, and keep projects on schedule, this is a steady role with opportunities for overtime and advancement.

What You'll Do

  • Install drywall panels to walls and ceilings: hang, cut, fit, and fasten to specified tolerances
  • Frame walls and ceilings using metal studs and steel framing for interior partitions and nonbearing walls
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical drawings to lay out work and determine materials
  • Measure, cut, level and align materials; prep joints and areas for the finishing crew
  • Install acoustical ceiling tile where required and complete suspension/grid work per specs
  • Inspect work for quality and safety, coordinate with other trades, and maintain a clean jobsite

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience installing drywall and metal stud framing on commercial and residential jobs (3+ years preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
  • Skilled in measuring, cutting, fastening drywall, leveling, and alignment
  • Experience with acoustical ceiling installation and steel framing for interior partitions
  • Capable of lifting 50+ lbs, working at heights, and standing for full shifts
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance; able to follow site safety rules

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • OSHA 10 (preferred) or equivalent safety training
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass drug screen and background check
  • English proficiency for on-site communication; bilingual a plus
