Drywall / Ceiling Tile Installer

About This Role

Experienced commercial drywall and steel-stud installer needed for projects in and around Sioux Falls, SD. This role focuses on commercial interiors—steel stud framing, hanging drywall, taping and finishing—and requires someone comfortable working on per diem assignments or relocating for multi-week projects. You’ll work on fast-paced commercial job sites alongside foremen and finish crews. Expect travel between projects, clear communication with supervisors, and the ability to manage your tools and time. Reliable candidates with a strong work ethic and commercial framing experience will be prioritized.

What You'll Do

• • Read and follow construction drawings, shop drawings, and layout plans for commercial interiors
• • Install steel stud framing for interior nonbearing partitions and related metal framing
• • Hang, tape and finish commercial drywall to specified levels and schedules
• • Perform site layout, measure and square framing, and cut/install materials accurately
• • Maintain tools, equipment and jobsite housekeeping; follow safety protocols
• • Coordinate with foremen and trades to meet schedule and quality targets

What We're Looking For

• • Proven commercial drywall installation and steel stud framing experience
• • Skilled in drywall taping, finishing and metal framing techniques
• • Able to read and interpret plans, details and layout drawings
• • Comfortable working per diem assignments or relocating for projects
• • Reliable transportation, punctuality, and ability to travel between sites
• • Physically able to lift materials, work on lifts/scaffolding and stand for long periods

Qualifications

• • Hilti Certified
• • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• • Own basic hand tools for drywall and framing
• • Minimum 2 years commercial drywall/metal stud experience preferred
• • Willingness to relocate or accept extended per diem assignments
