Apprentice Electrician (DFW / Dallas, TX)
About This Role
Apprentice Electrician needed for commercial projects across the Dallas–Fort Worth area. You will work on job sites under the direction of a Master Electrician, learning hands-on trade skills while following safety and quality standards. This is a per diem position with travel possible outside Texas. We offer competitive wages, benefits, paid safety training and clear advancement into journeyman-level work for motivated apprentices. What You'll Do
- • Assist Master and Journeyman Electricians with installation of wireways, raceways, conduit, and wiring on commercial job sites
- • Install and terminate lighting, devices, panels, overcurrent protection and perform basic wiring tasks per drawings
- • Read and follow blueprints, work orders and electrical schematics; perform layout and material staging
- • Perform troubleshooting, basic testing, and assist with energized-circuit work under supervision while following OSHA and company safety rules
- • Maintain tools and equipment, keep job site clean, report hazards, and complete daily paperwork/timecards while traveling between sites
What We're Looking For
- • Possess or be able to obtain a State of Texas Apprentice Electrician license prior to start
- • Reliable transportation and ability to travel across the DFW area; travel outside Texas may be required
- • Physically able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders/scaffolds, stoop/bend repeatedly and work in tight spaces
- • Basic hand tools in good condition (tool list provided upon hire)
- • Willingness to learn, strong mechanical aptitude, good communication skills, and ability to follow direction
- • Must pass a criminal background check, drug test, and have a clean driving record
Qualifications
- • Current (or obtainable before start) State of Texas Apprentice Electrician license
- • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- • High school diploma or GED
- • Must pass background check and drug screen; complete employer safety orientation (four-hour safety) prior to first assignment
- • Fluent in English and Spanish
- • Able to work on energized circuits under supervision while complying with OSHA and company safety standards
