Electrical Foreman
About This Role
We are hiring an experienced Electrical Foreman in Phoenix, AZ to lead electricians, apprentices, and laborers on commercial construction projects. You’ll oversee installations, testing, troubleshooting, material management, scheduling and on-site quality to ensure work meets plans, specs and the NEC. This is a hands-on leadership role: you’ll read plans, plan work sequences, coordinate with other trades, enforce safety and quality standards, and mentor field crews. Competitive pay up to $60/hr depending on experience, with overtime and benefits.
What You'll Do
- • Supervise and lead electricians, apprentices, and laborers on commercial job sites; assign daily tasks and monitor progress
- • Read and interpret contract documents, electrical plans, schematics and specifications to plan installations
- • Plan work sequences, coordinate with other trades, and adjust schedules to meet project timelines
- • Order, organize and manage project materials, tools and equipment; track inventory and deliveries
- • Oversee and perform installation, testing, troubleshooting and interlock wiring; conduct quality control inspections
- • Enforce safety policies, lead toolbox talks, and ensure work complies with NEC, project specs and company standards
What We're Looking For
- • Minimum 2+ years as Foreman/Leadman in commercial construction and at least 2 years as a Journeyman electrician
- • Proven ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams and technical drawings
- • Hands-on experience installing distribution equipment, lighting, controls, low-voltage systems and overcurrent devices
- • Skilled at troubleshooting electrical systems with test equipment and performing interlock wiring
- • Strong communication and leadership skills; able to train crew and manage subcontractor coordination
- • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background check and drug screen
Qualifications
- • Journeyman electrician license or equivalent experience
- • 2+ years as a Foreman/Leadman on commercial projects
- • Familiarity with the latest NEC edition and local electrical codes
- • OSHA 10 (required) or OSHA 30 (preferred)
- • First Aid/CPR preferred
- • Valid U.S. driver’s license
- • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- • Able to pass background check and drug test
