Electrician Foreman

About this role

DPR is hiring an Electrician Foreman to lead electrical field operations on commercial construction projects in Richmond, VA. The Foreman will supervise electricians, apprentices and laborers, manage schedules and materials, and make sure electrical work is completed on time, on budget, and to code. The role requires reading and interpreting blueprints, organizing work sequences, enforcing safety standards, and conducting quality control inspections. The Foreman will coordinate with other trades, resolve on-site issues quickly, and support the Superintendent in delivering the project to the standards set by the contractor.

What you'll do

• Supervise and coordinate crews of electricians, apprentices, and laborers on site
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, plans, specifications, and contract documents
• Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules
• Order, organize, and coordinate project materials and equipment
• Enforce safety standards and perform quality control inspections on site
• Coordinate with other trades to ensure smooth transitions and timely completion

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 2 years journeyman electrical installation experience on commercial projects
• 2+ years experience as a foreman/leadman in commercial construction
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-management skills
• Ability to analyze and resolve on-site work problems in a timely manner
• Commitment to site safety and quality control practices

Qualifications

• OSHA 30
• Valid driver’s license
• Pass background check, including drug test
• English (required)
