Journeyman Electrician

About this role

Join a hands-on electrical team in Surprise, AZ working on commercial, healthcare, higher-education, and life-science construction projects. This role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems to code and spec while supporting project schedules and safety goals. You’ll read blueprints and schematics, diagnose and troubleshoot issues on-site, and work directly with superintendents, project managers, engineers, and other trades. What you'll do

• • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components to meet codes, specifications, and project schedules.
• • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, riser diagrams, and equipment submittals to layout and install systems accurately.
• • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems on construction sites; test systems and verify proper operation.
• • Install and commission lighting, low-voltage systems, overcurrent protection, standby/emergency systems, and voice/data/video as required.
• • Work safely using required PPE, follow site safety plans, attend toolbox talks, and coordinate with superintendents and other trades to keep work moving.

What we're looking for

• • Minimum 8 years of electrical experience in construction environments (commercial, healthcare, higher-education or similar preferred).
• • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, single-line diagrams, and schematics.
• • Strong troubleshooting skills across power, lighting, controls, and low-voltage systems.
• • Comfortable working from ladders and lifts, using hand and power tools, and following strict safety procedures on active job sites.
• • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to local Surprise-area projects. OSHA 30 and state journeyman/electrician license preferred.
