About this role
DPR is hiring a Journeyman Electrician in Atlanta, GA to support commercial, healthcare, education, and life‑science projects. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems to code, reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics, troubleshooting issues, and delivering quality project outcomes. Work will be performed in a safety‑focused environment using modern tools and equipment. The Journeyman will collaborate with project managers, engineers, superintendents, and other trades while providing strong on‑site communication and customer service.
What you'll do
- Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems to code
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues and implement repairs
- Work safely with modern tools, materials, and equipment; follow site safety procedures
- Coordinate and communicate with project managers, engineers, superintendents, and trades
- Provide clear on‑site customer service and support to deliver project outcomes
What we're looking for
- 8+ years of construction industry experience as an electrician
- Experience with commercial, healthcare, education, or life‑science projects
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for electrical systems
- Knowledge of building codes, overcurrent device selection/installation, and standby/emergency systems
- Effective verbal and written communication; able to work with project teams and other trades
Qualifications
- OSHA 30
- OSHA 10
- State electrical license (preferred)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- English
