Electrician (Per Diem) — Atlanta, GA
About This Role
Seeking a skilled Electrician in Atlanta, GA for per diem assignments across commercial and residential projects. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, read blueprints, and enforce safety standards on each jobsite. This role is hands-on — you should be comfortable working independently or leading a small crew. Position pays per diem and is open to candidates willing to relocate. Candidates with military experience or the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance are strongly encouraged to apply. Accurate record-keeping, reliable travel, and adherence to local, state, and federal codes are required.
What You'll Do
- • Perform conduit bending and install wiring, panels, breakers, and fixtures for commercial and residential jobs
- • Install and maintain lighting systems, low-voltage controls, and wire controls; run and terminate cable per plans
- • Troubleshoot electrical systems (safety issues, amperage, wear and tear) and perform repairs or component replacements
- • Read and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and wiring/circuit designs to complete installations to code
- • Enforce jobsite safety procedures, complete safety checks, and ensure compliance with local/state/federal regulations
- • Keep accurate daily records of work performed, materials used, and time on site; report progress to foreman or project lead
What We're Looking For
- • Proven experience with conduit bending and commercial electrical service installation
- • Hands-on troubleshooting skills for electrical systems, lighting, low-voltage controls, and residential wiring
- • Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams; basic wiring and circuit design knowledge
- • Strong adherence to safety procedures and regulatory compliance (local, state, federal)
- • Comfort working independently or supervising small crews; general construction experience a plus
- • Available for per diem assignments and able/willing to relocate for project needs
Qualifications
- • Military veteran preferred: Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, or U.S. Marine Corps
- • Ability to obtain or hold a Secret security clearance; background check and drug test required
- • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; clean driving record preferred
- • OSHA 10 (minimum) or OSHA 30 preferred; electrician journeyman license or equivalent experience
