About This Role

Local journeyman electrician needed for commercial and campus work in Bethesda, MD. This role focuses on mid-level troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and repair of electrical and control systems across building systems and site equipment. You will remove/replace motors and control components, read ladder logic/diagrams, install new wiring and raceways, and support mechanical and electrical repairs. Must be available for varying shifts including nights, weekends and holidays as required.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot and repair mid-level control and power electrical systems using ladder logic, diagrams and schematics
  • Remove and replace motors, starters, relays, limit switches, fuses and primary control components
  • Install new wiring hook-ups, upgrade equipment, and perform wireway and raceway installation
  • Assemble, inspect, adjust, repair or replace faulty parts and wiring on electronic and electrical devices
  • Support mechanical and electrical repairs on building systems including ATS, UPS/battery storage, emergency generators and photovoltaic systems
  • Interpret and apply Federal, State and local electrical code requirements on site

What We're Looking For

  • Commercial electrical service installation and system troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, ladder logic, diagrams and schematics
  • Hands-on experience with motors, starters, overcurrent device selection and installation
  • Experience with lighting installation, wireway/raceway installation and residential wiring fundamentals
  • Working knowledge of medium and high voltage equipment, generators, ATS and UPS systems
  • Able to work varying shifts including nights, weekends and holidays; reliable attendance

Qualifications

  • State-licensed electrician (journeyman-level required)
  • Fluent in Russian and English (reading and speaking)
  • Proven commercial/journey-level electrical experience on medium/high voltage systems and generators
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
