Journeyman Electrician

About this role

EPI Power is hiring a journeyman electrician in Des Moines, IA for commercial and general electrical work. This per diem position requires an experienced electrician able to handle journeyman-level tasks on commercial job sites, including conduit bending, cable pulls, lighting, and distribution equipment work. Candidates should be comfortable reading technical drawings and performing installation and maintenance of standby and emergency systems as part of routine commercial electrical assignments.

What you'll do

• Perform conduit bending and run conduit for commercial installations
• Pull conduit and large cable for power and distribution systems
• Install and maintain distribution equipment and overcurrent protection devices
• Install commercial electrical services and lighting systems
• Install and service standby and emergency power systems
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics

What we're looking for

• Journeyman-level experience in commercial and general electrical work
• Proven skill with conduit bending and pulling large cable
• Experience installing and maintaining distribution equipment and overcurrent devices
• Experience with commercial electrical service and lighting installation
• Experience installing and maintaining standby and emergency systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

Qualifications

• Journeyman electrician credential or equivalent journeyman-level experience
• Proven experience on commercial electrical projects
• Availability for per diem assignments
